“Everything you need to know about pensions”

Hello and Welcome.

You have probably arrived at this site because you want to find out more about retirement and pension planning, or need some advice. You may even want to find out what your number is.

Planning your retirement should be a rewarding experience. What could be better than planning for the time you live the life you want to? But it seems like a headache.

We are often asked by new clients ‘I have little or no pension, do I need a pension?’, ‘What will I get in retirement?’, ‘When can I draw my pension?’, ‘What is my pension worth?’, ‘is my pension safe?’ or ‘how safe is my pension?’ or ‘how do I get pension protection to safeguard my pension?’

Our qualified pension’s adviser will guide you through the areas of financial planning for retirement, specific pension planning, and retirement funding. Our process is to go through a retirement checklist, providing advice on how pensions work and how to ensure regular income during retirement.

It is important that you have a secure retirement and you live comfortably in old age, early retirement or semi retirement. You may even have specific issues about retiring abroad.

The Pensions Advisory Service will provide you with the pension information and advice you need on investing and saving for retirement, and when you take your pension on options such as a retirement annuity (annuity income), enhanced annuities, with profit (investment linked) annuities, phased retirement plans, and unsecured pensions (often referred to as income drawdown).

Our aim is to help you achieve and maintain the lifestyle you desire.

Pension plans, SIPPs, state pension, annuities, unsecured pension, stakeholder pensions, tax free cash, final salary schemes the jargon is endless…

If you have read anything about pensions you will have experienced the world of pension jargon, serps, avcs, fsa pensions, graduated pensions, final salary pensions, lifetime allowance, pension benefits, pension credit, pension deficit, pension deferral, state pension, second state pension, pension fund, pension forecast, pension lump sum, pension rules, pension tracing, pension reform, deferred pension, top-up pension, frozen pension to mention but a few.

At Landmark we will explain these terms in plain English.  You may wish to discuss a company pension scheme, personal pension plan, self employed pension, unsecured pension (income drawdown), or impaired life annuity.  It doesn’t matter we will guide you through the options in an easy to understand way.

You may need specific advice on how to transfer a pension, tax relief on pensions, redundancy and pensions, tax efficient pension, tax efficient savings, pension investment or a self invested pension. We can help you in all of these areas and many others.

Many clients have built up a number of pensions during their working lives and would like to combine, or consolidate pensions by merging them with one provider.  Another popular area is underperforming pensions. Many pension funds have poor investment performance and it is important to review pension benefits.

I will try and help you through the maze and point you in the right direction. Click through to the essential information page to find out more.
